Obviously Cornwall is famous for its glorious beaches and ancient tin mines but you are never far from something to occupy the family for a day out. Listed below are just a few popular attractions for you to consider. We can also recommend the iwalkcornwall app for those that like to get out walking. A database of 310 walks in Cornwall, ranging from 2 to 13 miles. Nearly all of these are circular and the majority are in the 3-6 mile range. Walks packed with local history and nature information can be purchased via our app for £3.29 which guides you around the route using detailed, heavily-tested hand-written directions tracked via GPS.
For the sun seekers there is also a new app called My Coast which you can use to plan your best and safest beach day ever, enabling all beach-goers to ‘know before they go’, with a clever filter system to select the right beach for you.
Hayle Golf
Hayle Golf is one of the most popular Driving Range and Golf Practice Centres in Cornwall with 20 range bays overlooking an extensive, fully floodlit outfield.
The 12 hole short course provides opportunities for new players to learn the game and practice away from the rigours of the full course and is a great facility for experienced players to sharpen up their short game.
There are a team of dedicated golf teaching professionals helping players of all levels from beginners to those who have been playing for years.
The recently installed all weather short game practice area gives players the chance to really practice with a purpose and regular use has proven to help reduce handicaps!

Tehidy Woods
Tehidy is the largest area of woodland in West Cornwall. Now managed as a Country Park, Tehidy has over 9 miles (14.5km) of paths and 250 acres of peaceful woods and lakes to explore, together with a café and a picnic area. There are 5 main access points including North Cliff car park, and South Drive car park.
Paradise Park Hayle
You’ll meet amazing wildlife, including stunningly colourful birds including many rare and beautiful parrots, Humboldt’s penguins, Caribbean flamingo, Red-billed choughs, Golden and Bald eagles, kookaburras, hornbills and so many more. A dedicated team of Zoo Keepers care for over 1,200 birds plus, beautiful Red pandas, rare Red squirrels, cute otters and tiny Harvest mice and farm animals, there is a wonderful selection to see.
The Cornish Seal Sanctuary
The Cornish Seal Sanctuary is a charity that rescues and rehabilitates grey seal pups from around the Cornish coastline. Each season, the Sanctuary rehabilitates over 70 seal pups that have been rescued for various reasons, from malnourishment to being separated from their mum. The Sanctuary also provides a permanent home to animals that need special care from our team of marine animal experts. When visiting the Sanctuary, you can experience wonderful marine animals up close and personal and learn all about their individual stories.

The Lizard
A Nation Trust location to explore the heritage of the region. Lizard Point in Cornwall is at the southern tip of the Lizard Peninsula. It is situated half-a-mile south of Lizard village in the civil parish of Landewednack and about 11 miles southeast of Helston

St Michael's Mount
St Michael's Mount is a tidal island in Mount's Bay near Penzance. The island is a civil parish and is linked to the town of Marazion by a causeway of granite setts, passable (as is the beach) between mid-tide and low water. It is managed by the National Trust, and the castle and chapel have been the home of the St Aubyn family since around 1650.
Barbara Hepworth Museum
The Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden in St Ives, Cornwall preserves the 20th-century sculptor Barbara Hepworth's studio and garden much as they were when she lived and worked there. She purchased the site in 1949 and lived and worked there for 26 years until her death in a fire on the premises in 1975.
Tate St Ives
Tate St Ives is an art gallery in St Ives, Cornwall, England, exhibiting work by modern British artists with links to the St Ives area. The Tate also took over management of another museum in the town, the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, in 1980.
The Tate St Ives was built between 1988 and 1993 on the site of an old gasworks and looks over Porthmeor beach. In 2015, it received funding for an expansion, doubling the size of the gallery, and closed in October 2015 for refurbishment. The gallery re-opened in October 2017 and is among the most visited attractions in the UK.
Kennall Vale Nature Reserve
A picturesque woodland with some open glades, this reserve also contains a water-filled quarry. The Kennel Vale gunpowder factory was located here; however it closed in the first decade of the last century. It is a great reserve for wildlife, such as the pipistrelle bat, as well as an abundance of birdlife
